About the award

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and as part of Al Bader Initiative which aims to celebrate the love of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and disseminate his message of moderation and tolerance,  the third edition of Al Bader Award is launched. The award is directed to emerging and professional artists and aims to enhance the connection of youth with their Islamic heritage and produce artworks inspired by the praise of the Prophet (PBUH) and to demonstrate his merit, the greatness of his morals and values. The award also focuses on discovering and encouraging young talents in poetry, painting, calligraphy and multimedia, and Miniature art and enriching Arab and Islamic culture with artistic and creative works celebrating the love of our Prophet (PBUH).

The award is divided to the local and international award. the local award is directed to students group A (6-10 years), Age group B (11-17 years), Youth category (18-30 years). The poetry and multimedia categories are open only for the Youth category. Registration in the international award is open for all ages and nationalities.

Strategic Objectives

The Al Badr Initiative is guided by a strategic plan that turns the values of the Prophetic biography into contemporary human impact — through three strategic objectives and the initiatives that deliver them.

Establishing the Initiative as a knowledge reference for the humane dimensions of the Prophetic biography, and developing a contemporary values-based discourse inspired by it.

Developing an integrated system of knowledge programmes and products that translate Prophetic values, strengthening their human impact locally and globally through a contemporary and innovative discourse.

Consolidating the global standing of the Al Badr Award, and building an advanced institutional and digital infrastructure that sustains its impact and keeps it ready for the future.

Submitting Artwork

Physical artworks for Arabic Calligraphy and Miniature Art categories should be sent to:

Deadline: 2:00 PM, Friday 31/07/2026.

The actual receipt date is what counts, not the shipping date.

Digital entries for Poetry, Prophetic Praise, AI Short Films, and Digital Storytelling (Reels) should be submitted through the registration system on the Al Badr Award website.

Terms and Conditions

Artworks must be created by the participants themselves, and a copy of the ID or passport must be attached with the artwork.

Each participant shall participate with one artwork only that has not previously been won in any other competition or award.

Artworks theme should be consistent with the theme of the award, as stated above or stated specifically in the category rules.

The winning artworks become the property of Al Bader Initiative which has the right to display these works in exhibitions and owns the copyright.

The jury has the right to withhold some awards if it considers that the participating artworks are not up to the required level.

Participants must fill out the participation form in the website https://albdr.ae and submit it, then attach a copy with the artwork.

Jury decision shall be considered final and is not to be discussed.

The artworks that did not win must be collected within 2 months after the announcement of the winners. Artworks that are not collected after 2 months of the announcement shall be considered property of the award.

الأعمال الغير فائزة يتم استلامها خلال 60 يوم من تاريخ إعلان النتائج بالحضور شخصيا إلى مقر مدرسة الخط والزخرفة أو بتفويض من ينوب عن المشترك ( لا يجوز تفويض أحد موظفي المدرسة ) وإدارة جائزة البدر غير ملزمة بإرسال الأعمال بالبريد. حتى و لو كان على حساب المرسل إليه ... وفي حال انتهاء المدة تصبح الأعمال ملكاً لإدارة جائزة البدر.
